After we’ve helped a customer choose their dream furniture, we can’t deny that we’re desperate to see how it looks when it’s in their homes. Luckily Chelsea and Ryan, who have just bought their first home, took to Instagram (@hatfield_2017) to share snaps of our furniture in their gorgeous house.

We absolutely love how they’ve styled our pieces so we thought we’d get in touch and ask them a couple of questions about how they chose their furniture and their experience with Taskers.

  1. Where did you find the inspiration?

First of all, we wanted to know where they had found the inspiration for their super stylish grey interior. As you can see from our previous blog post, Get the Look: Grey is here to stay, we’re a big fan of grey interiors too.

Chelsea says she and Ryan saw a lot of grey interiors on Instagram. They also gathered inspiration from the different showrooms they visited before Taskers.

One of our favourite rooms is the bedroom. They have opted for a dark grey feature wall to complement our black Nolte Marcato Sliding Door Wardrobes and Bedside Tables. Chelsea admits she wasn’t sure on the dark colours Ryan picked out but now she loves it and we couldn’t agree more! Dark colours are a daring choice but it was definitely worth the risk in this case.

2. How did you choose your pieces?

Secondly, we asked Chelsea and Ryan about how they chose their furniture. They say they had a rough idea in mind but nothing too rigid. We agree that this is the best way to go about buying furniture because we all know how difficult it can be to find a piece that matches what you have in mind.

Chelsea says that before visiting Taskers they visited 7 other furniture stores in the North West but nothing caught their eye. After a couple of recommendations from friends and family, Chelsea and Ryan visited Taskers.  They found their perfect sofa in their perfect colour (grey, of course) within 3 minutes of being in the store!

The sofa they chose was the popular Freemont Medium Sofa which they paired with the Freemont Loveseat. Unlike the bedroom, they’ve kept their living room bright and airy with a pale carpet and light coloured wall paper.

Ivor, our Managing Director, helped Chelsea and Ryan with their purchases for their first home. They went onto buy the Marseille Extending Dining Table and Jiazi Dining Chairs which both have a modern look which suits the style of their new home perfectly. We love how they’ve kept their dining room décor simple with a super large TV that works well with the modern feel of the room.

3. Why did you choose Taskers?

Lastly we asked Chelsea and Ryan why they chose Taskers over other furniture retailers. We were delighted when Chelsea said that Taskers had lots of unique pieces to choose from unlike the other retailers who were selling a lot of the same sort of things. She also commented on the fact that Taskers had a lot of swatches and extras to choose from which made their shopping experience feel much more personal.
